Recycling

Blue boxes are in the porch for your convenience in separating recycling

Please dispose of your glass in bottle bank to the right of the Achmore hall after leaving the Neuk.​​

What we accept:

  • clean plastic bottles

  • clean plastic pots, tubs and trays

  • clean cans and tins (including lids)

  • empty aerosols

  • clean food and drink cartons

  • clean aluminium food trays

​

Please ensure all items are clean and dry

​

What we cannot accept:

  • dirty and bagged recycling

  • containers with food or residues of food waste (everything must be clean for recycling)

The blue wheelie bin outside by the gate is for recycling paper, the green is for plastics and metals

(grey/black for non recyclable items)

What we accept:

  • paper, shredded paper, newspapers, magazines and envelopes

  • phone books and catalogues

  • greetings cards - remove any ribbons or decorations

  • cereal boxes and other card products

  • all corrugated cardboard

Please flatten items where possible and always place them in loosely as we cannot accept any type of plastic bag in the blue bin.

​

What we cannot accept:

  • tissues, napkins or kitchen towel

  • padded envelopes or wallpaper

  • dirty takeaway boxes with food or oil such as pizza boxes

  • hardback books or disposable cups
